ROBBIE Lardner could be tempted to remain at Bremhill View despite being asked to return to former club Melksham Town.
New Melksham boss Kelvin Highmore is hoping to take Lardner with him to the Conigre as his assistant but Lardner is keeping his options open.
The veteran midfielder, 42, managed Melksham three seasons ago but the possibility of a managerial role at Calne could persuade him to stay.
He said: "I don't know what is going to happen.
"Kelvin wants me to go to Melksham and I am interested but I have always tried to be as loyal as I can.
"I have really enjoyed my time here and it is a difficult one to call. I am always happy help people out and to be honest I don't need an official title.
"My time at Melksham was mostly enjoyable and it would be nice to go back there but it would also be good to stay at Calne.
"I would not rule out going for the manager's position at Calne or staying to help out the new manager but I can't say either way at the moment."
