Mary Cowler and Pat Tuck in costume ready for their charity walk (17123)TWO fundraisers have become the unwitting faces of an international breast cancer campaign.
Center Parcs workers Mary Cowler and Pat Tuck, both 51, are marching in the Playtex moonwalk across London on June 18.
Last year more than 15,000 women took part and the aim is to raise money for breast cancer charity Walk the Walk.
Participants wear decorated bras over their t-shirts and walk 26.2 miles around London starting and finishing in Hyde Park.
When Mrs Cowler and Mrs Tuck received their fundraising pack three weeks ago they were shocked to see their faces looking back at them.
While marching in 2003 they were snapped in the crowd and chosen to appear on the front of the fundraising leaflet.
Mrs Cowler said: "We just absolutely could not believe it when the pack came through.
"15,000 people do the walk every year and they managed to get our faces on the front cover.
"We got involved with the march after the mother of a colleague of ours was diagnosed with breast cancer.
"It is like a carnival atmosphere and so enjoyable, but also a really good cause.
"We've done it for the last three years and we are hoping to make it five."
The pair completed the walk in seven hours 10 minutes last year and have been training hard to up the pace this time around.
