BLACKBUD, a talented band from Bradford on Avon, got the thumbs-up from the national reviewers this week.
The recently-released Livewire EP was voted track of the week in the Guardian Newspaper.
Reviewer Johnny Dee wrote: "They sound both ridiculously uncool and ridiculously talented, playing the sort of thing that people will cling to and hail as proper music. It is our duty to make them famous."
The band's manager Grant Newton said: "It is nice to get the recognition and the band are really pleased.
"They also got four stars out of five in The Sun which is read by millions of people so things are going really well."
The band consists of Joe Taylor, guitar and vocals, Sam Nadel, drums and Adam Newton, bass.
They are booked to play Glastonbury this year and were due to perform on cutting-edge radio station Xfm yesterday.
