ON behalf of Barnardo's South West, I would like to thank the Wiltshire Times for last week's fantastic feature on the charity's latest campaign.
The double-page spread by reporter Morwenna Blake has delighted staff and volunteers across the area and I am sure it will encourage many more families to approach us for help.
In particular, I would like to pay tribute to the bravery of the service users from the West Wiltshire Family Centre, Trowbridge, who agreed to share their stories of domestic abuse and family breakdown.
Barnardo's South West needs to raise more than £1.5 million every year. It's a lot of money, but I hope readers will agree that it's a small price to pay for protecting future generations. Our aim is to give local children and young people a better start in life the Wiltshire Times has certainly helped us.
