Picture Ref: 77734-25STARGATE fans were transported to a different dimension when actors Peter Williams and Alexis Cruz landed in Swindon.
Fans of the TV series Stargate SG-1 snapped up signed photographs, and chatted to the stars at memorabilia store Infinitely Better in the Brunel Centre.
Peter who plays arch villain Aprophis explained why he loved his role.
"I love the romance of the anti-hero, and you also get the best costumes," he said.
"I would say half the popularity of my character is down to the costumes."
Stargate enjoys a cult following.
"I think it's so popular because it plays to people's fears that there could be something out there in a different world," he added.
Swindon has a connection to the show through Old Town fashion stylist Mark Collins, who designed clothes for the show.
He designed jeans for Peter and a jacket for Alexis, who plays Skaara.
Alexis loves meeting his fans.
"You get so much feedback, and they tell you about their hopes and fears for the characters, they're very sincere," he said.
Among the fans was Lee Bates, a 20-year-old student from Old Town.
"The show makes us realise the importance of saving the planet," he said.
