A NEW royal family is being sought to play its role in community life over the next year.
Trowbridge Carnival Committee is looking for young women and girls to become this year's carnival queen, princess, butterfly queen and carnival attendant.
Anyone over 16 can enter the competition to be crowned as the queen or to become her attendant, with girls aged from seven-11 eligible to become the butterfly queen and 12-15-year-olds being sought to take on the role of the carnival princess.
Entry forms are available from the Chicago Rock Caf, the Wiltshire Times offices in Duke Street or from Trowbridge Town Council offices, in Fore Street.
The selections will be made at Chicago Rock on June 19, and entries are also welcome on the day.
