Age Concern celebrated the past and welcomed the future at its annual general meeting at the Corn Exchange, Devizes.
Hilda Hendy, who uses many Age Concern services, cut a 60th anniversary cake with Louise Elkington, chair of trustees and director Liddy Davidson.
The keynote presentation was given by Dianne Jeffrey, chairman of the new charity formed by the merger of Age Concern England and Help the Aged.
Gazette sub editor Diana Deal and her daughter Rebecca, 16, are cycling the South Downs to raise money for the appeal.
