Sunday lunch at the home of Charles Noblet was a great social event as well as a fund-raiser for Age Concern Wiltshire’s Big 60 appeal.
Mr Noblet and his partner, Emily Cole, a project worker at Age Concern, took part in the charity’s Great Sunday Lunch, which involves people hosting a meal in return for their guests making a donation.
Mr Noblet, a Frenchman, and Miss Cole both enjoy cooking and they hosted a four course meal at their home in Stockley, near Calne, where they were joined by nine friends.
Mr Noblet, who estimates they raised £100, said the charity does vital work. “I am particularly impressed by the befriending work they do, visiting socially isolated older people in rural Wiltshire,” he said.
