Dog owners Tom and Deborah Beese have put up a £200 reward for information leading to the safe return of the Jack Russell dog “Jack” they rescued over six years ago and which has gone missing from their home at Crofton.
Jack who is now aged eight was malnourished when the couple rescued him and gave him a new life at Freewarren Farm at Crofton.
They have another rescue dog, too, a springer spaniel called Emmy and she is missing Jack, said Mr Beese.
“Emmy is missing him because she has deaf and relies upon him as her ears.”
Jack is a white and tan dog with a full tail and well pointed ears that are normally raised. He has been micro chipped.
Mr Beese said Jack was very friendly and added: “That probably led to him disappearing.”
The owners are pinning their hopes on somebody seeing the dog and thinking it lost although it is in very good condition.
“Our hope is that somebody mistakenly thought he was lost and is looking after him,” said Mr Beese who said he had notified the police and all local vets and dogs homes of Jack’s disappearance.
Anyone who knows anything about the dog being picked up on Sunday August 30 from outside Freewarren Farm at Crofton or who knows someone who has recently acquired an older and un-docked Jack Russell dog is asked to ring Mr Beese 077 4008 7387.
