A pint and a pasty is the way forward for The Royal Oak in Corsham as Cornish landlady Maggie Evans makes her mark on the traditional pub.
Mrs Evans fell in love with The Royal Oak when she moved to Corsham with her husband David, a project manager for the MoD, two years ago.
However she has a vision for the pub and being a Cornish woman she has a love for a real Cornish pasty and so has decided to offer them at the pub as well as lunch time meals.
She said: “We have been in the area for two years now and grew to really like the pub, so I decided to go for it and we have been here about six weeks.
“I have brought in pasties because I think they are delicious and just what people will want.”
