Malmesbury will be awash with colourful floats on Saturday evening as the carnival procession brings the month long festival to a close.
The two-hour parade will start at 6pm from Park Road and then wind its way through the town before returning to the start point.
Carnival chairman Andy Dawson said entries were already coming in.
He said: “I’m really excited about it.
“We don’t usually get entries until the day before but we already have two dozen signed up.
“There is a good range of entries so far with plenty of different themes.
“We are also continuing the Pub Cup we launched last year which is awarded to the best float entered by a public house.”
As well as the procession there will be a funfair, drumming workshops and other activities keeping people entertained.
Mr Dawson said: “The children who took part in the carnival workshop last month will be carrying the models they made.
“And this year the huge Jackdaw float has been transformed into something really special.
“It is just a great finale and hopefully everyone will come out to show their support.”
The deadline for entries is 6pm on Friday, forms can be downloaded from www.malmesburycarnival.co.uk or collected from the tourist information centre.
Also taking her place in the procession will be the Carnival Butterfly Queen, Lily Boswell, 9, who was crowned on August 18 in the town hall, after impressing judges with her poem about Malmesbury.
She is accompanied by princesses Heather Horgan, 11, and Lucy Brown, nine.
