Students and staff at Pewsey Vale School are celebrating another year of excellent GCSE results after almost every student achieved at least one A-C grade.
The school has continued its trend of improvement that has seen results rise every year and students taking as many as 14 GCSE exams.
Nearly 40 per cent of Year 11 students achieved 10 or more high (A*-C) grades.
Fifty-eight per cent of students achieved five or more A*-C grades and, with some results still to be confirmed, this figure is likely to rise.
Top performers included head boy Tom Bolton and Emma Mundy who achieved 5A*s, 7As and 2Bs and 5A*s 6As and 3Bs respectively.
Tom, 16, from Collingbourne Ducis followed in his brother Dan’s success two years ago. He will join St John’s School in Marlborough to study sciences and plans to go to university.
Emma, 16, from Ludgershall, is going to Andover College to study chemistry, biology together with health and social care, as she wants to become a physiotherapist.
Headteacher Carol Grant said: “I am delighted that the students have done so well this year. Their achievements reflect their hard work and commitment to learning.
“I would like to thank my fantastic team of teachers whose professionalism and dedication to our students has ensured the outstanding achievements this year and significant year on year improvements for the last three years.”
