Youngsters from Devizes stepped into the ring to try boxing.
Sarsen Housing Association teamed up with the ABC Boxing Club in Trowbridge to give youngsters aged nine to 15 a taste of the sport on a four week intensive course.
The youngsters learned how to jab, punch, weave and block under the watchful eye of professional boxing coach Tim Iljazi.
He said: “Boxing is a great way for youngsters to keep fit and have fun. It’s not all about throwing punches, there’s a lot of fitness training, including skipping and circuit training. It also teaches youngsters self discipline and respect for others.”
Twelve-year-old Jacob Clarke was one of the youngsters who took part and said: “I really enjoyed the boxing. It’s hard work and you have to learn to control yourself and not just hit out.”
