Businessman Bruce Hopkins has presented £1,100 to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance appeal following a successful concert in his home village of Patney.
Mr Hopkins, director of Devizes Fine Kitchens, organised a singing concert in July called Picnic at Patney Park, where he took part in a musical entertainment.
The event was extremely well attended and the weather remained fine, resulting in a most enjoyable evening for all.
Mr Hopkins and his fellow singers, Helen Derbyshire, and twins Christie and Gina Strong last week presented their donation to Paramedic Richard Miller at the air support unit in Devizes.
The total raised on the day for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance was an incredible £600, and Lloyds Bank donated a further £500 from their Employee Matching Fund, because Miss Darbyshire works for Lloyds Bank.
An amount has also been donated to the Patney Church Fabric Fund.
Melanie Gee at the Wiltshire Air Ambulance appeal office said: “We would all like to thank Bruce and the girls for all of their efforts. We are truly grateful for your continued support.”
Mr Hopkins said: “We are delighted to have raised so much money. We kept the entry fee deliberately low to make it a community event, so to be able to present this amount is great.”
