I would like to thank all the staff and businesses in Devizes that made a brilliant contribution to this year’s Britain in Bloom.

As one of the judges of the commercial sections we had a very hard task. The standard was very high and a credit to all of you who took part. In my opinion Devizes should have a gold purely for effort alone.

Its a great pity the banks no longer support us as that would have been the icing on the cake.

Many thanks to the town clerk’s office for their help and hard work and a very special thanks to the parks department which give us a brilliant display year after year.
