An extra meeting of the Marlborough Area Board will be welcoming Jeff James, Chief Executive of NHS Wiltshire on September 23.
It will be his first public appearance in the town since campaigner Val Compton lost her High Court bid to re-open the Minor Injuries Unit at Savernake Hospital.
Mr James refused to meet Mrs Compton after the case so she could hand over the £10,000 cheque for costs raised by the people of Marlborough. The NHS spent £300,000 fighting the case.
This additional area board meeting of Wiltshire Council will be looking at what the community want from their hospital. It will be held at the Town Hall in Marlborough from 7pm to 9pm and members of the public are encouraged to go along to find out more.
Jeff James will be giving a presentation at the meeting about what NHS Wiltshire plan to do with the hospital and other resources and will be available to answer questions.
