Five top-of-the-range TVs were stolen from a hotel in Chippenham on Sunday, just days after owners David and Sally Warburton unveiled their new guest rooms.
Thieves made their way into The Old House At Home, in Burton, during the early hours of the morning and stole the 37” black Samsung TVs and iPod docks, which were installed only last week.
Father-of-two Mr Warburton said: “It is a shame – we decided to expand the pub to include a hotel with six luxury guest rooms.
“We held a viewing of the rooms on Tuesday, opened on Wednesday then had a break-in on Sunday.
“We put in these top-of-the-range TVs for our new guest rooms and now we will have to replace them all.
“This could cost close to £20,000 by the time we replace the TVs and windows.”
Mr Warburton, who also owns The Northey in Box and The Crown near Dyrham Park, said: “All the TVs were programmed with our own channel through an electronic communications box.
“It is not just a case of getting new TVs and putting them on the wall, we would have to reprogramme them all first.
“We have been told by an engineer that the thieves might be able to get them working, but our channel, OHH, will still be there.”
The TVs were taken from five hotel rooms, which are in a separate building from the pub, but thieves were careful not to disturb guests in the only occupied room by quietly prising open the windows.
Mr Warburton said: “They even closed the windows back up so we would not know anything had happened.
“We did not know anything was missing until we noticed a drainage problem in one of the rooms. When we realised the TV had gone we went in the other rooms and saw they had all gone."
