Staff and volunteers at Bath Cats and Dogs Home are busy getting ready for their big fundraising event of the year.
Their open day on Sunday September 6 from 11am to 5pm is expected to attract hundreds of visitors from a wide area, including a large part of Wiltshire.
The Claverton Down site will host the action-packed family day including a Kids’ Zone with inflatables, a magician, balloon modelling and a puppet show.
There will be talks from some of Britain’s leading animal behavourists, including Dr Roger Mugford.
A police dog show and an animal fashion show are also on the programme, as well as a “dancing with dogs” demonstration.
There will be tea room, barbecue and licensed bar, a swing band and folk trio.
Dogs are welcome and parking at Bath University is free.
