Charity trekker Frankie Durham is to tackle the heights of Wales to raise money for the NSPCC.
Mr Durham, 21, of St Mary’s Street, Chippenham, has set his sights on walking the 25 mile Llyn Peninsula, from Caerarfon to Porthmadog, on September 12 in less than eight hours, starting at 6am.
Mr Durham was inspired to undertake the walk because the NSPCC is the charity that is being supported this year by the company he works for, Plumbing Trade Supplies at Bumpers Farm.
He hopes his efforts will raise £300. He said: “The NSPCC is an incredibly worthy cause. I’ve hiked around the Lake District plenty of times, but this is a new challenge. The furthest I’ve walked to date is 15 miles. It should be fun but it is going to hurt.”
