ONE building worker has been airlifted to hospital and another two have been treated for minor injuries after the wall of a house they were renovating at Plummer's Farm, Patney Road, Chirton, collapsed while they were working on scaffolding this morning.
Dave Wilmot, the control room manager at Devizes Ambulance Station, happened to be passing and went to the men's aid.
Mr Wilmot said: "I had to do a snatch rescue as one chap was still lying below a wall that was threatening to collapse. He has been flown to Salisbury District Hospital.
"We have one man who is going to hospital by road ambulance and one walking wounded.
"They have been incredibly lucky, it could have been much worse."
The house has been unoccupied for some time while it is being renovated.
