It is with great disgust that I feel I should write this letter with reference to your article Crime At Crop Circles from the issue dated July 30.
Mr Carson’s honesty box was stolen from his field to which hundreds of visitors come every week at present to visit.
Mr Carson says “it must have been someone local who knew I was away and wasn't emptying it every night”.
Does he think that the villagers of Alton Barnes have nothing better to do, than watch him go and empty his money making scheme box every night?
There have been corn circles in the fields at Alton now for over 15 years, so does he think that the villagers all go to see them every time a new one appears, to even know that there was an honesty box in the field?
I moved away from the village several years ago but still have family there.
I feel that this is a great disrespect to them as many of them have lived there since birth, and many have known Mr Carson since he was a small boy himself.
Does he think that they are that small-minded as to steal from him?
