With reference to last week’s front page regarding the future of the old Woolworths site in Chippenham and Mr David Day’s efforts, may I float the following proposal.
There are, at the last count, six charity shops in Chippenham all occupying separate sites.
Why not locate all six on one big site such as the Woolworths site?
Each would retain it own individual identity within the site. The combined rental at present being paid could be less than the rental for one site.
The benefits to the shopper would be great, instead of visiting six shops scattered around the town, one central location. The name? Simply, The Charity Shop.
Donations would be made in the same way to your chosen charity, whose name would still feature beneath the main heading on the front of the shop.
There is a lot more I could add and if Mr Day would like to get in touch I could expand on this.
