Families can have fun at a charity sports day run by a Wootton Bassett pub on bank holiday weekend.

The Curriers Arms, in the High Street, will host the event on August 30 from 11am until late to raise money for equipment at Great Western Hospital in Swindon.

The day will include an all-day barbecue and outside bar and various day-time events such as a tug of war, penalty shoot out, shot putt, Bassett’s Strongest Man, a fire hose run and a children’s bouncy castle.

The evening’s activities will be karaoke and a disco.

Entry for adults costs £1 on the door and is free for children.
