The Wharf Theatre in Devizes held an open day to show the public how it mounts professional standard production within its limited space and budget.

Visitors saw the small but well appointed workshop, dressing room and costume store, lighting box and auditorium.

The 96-seat theatre produces seven home-grown shows a year and welcome visiting productions.

Organiser Jackie Bawden said more than 60 visitors saw ‘behind the scenes’ and watched the cast paint the set of the next production – Rhythm of Life – on stage.
