When Sarah Mortimer and Andrew Thorneycroft from Pewsey got married on Saturday they were delighted to be able to have their Labrador Sam as their guest of honour.
The couple, who live in Raffin Lane in Pewsey, turned to doggie company Waggamania to take Sam along to the Register Office at the town hall and then to the reception at Coles restaurant in nearby Kingsbury Street.
Simon Wooler and Nina Cooper set up Waggamania in Pewsey after he was made redundant from a similar dog walking, training and home sitting company.
Mr Wooler had looked after one-year-old Sam through his previous employers and was delighted to be able to help the newly-weds.
He even kitted out the black Labrador with a collar and silver tie so that he could act as the “best dog”.
During the actual ceremony, Sam waited patiently outside the town hall with his carer Mr Wooler until the newly married couple emerged.
The bride said: “Sam is a big part of our lives and very much part of the family.”
