Model Katie Price forgot the pressures of media attention and her marriage split to wish Chippenham worker Joe Durling good luck for a charity parachute jump.

Mr Durling, 20, joined 31 colleagues from Sainsbury’s in a two-mile free fall,p to raise money for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

A few days earlier, cafe worker Mr Durling went to a book signing by Katie Price, aka model Jordan.

He said: “We had to write down what we wanted her to say in our books and I mentioned the parachute jump.

“Katie Price said ‘you are mad,’when I told her about the jump, but she wished me luck when I told her it was for charity.”

The great leap by staff from Sainsbury’s stores across Wiltshire took place at an airbase in Swindon on August 2 and raised £6,000.
