Three community groups are expected to bid successfully for funding at the second area board meeting at Calne town hall on Tuesday.
The School Police Liaison Activities for School Holidays project (SPLASH) has applied for £3,980 for fun and healthy activities for youngsters during half term.
Calne Town Council is seeking £1,000 to support a project to enhance the appearance of empty shop windows, and Goatacre Cricket Club has requested £855 for tools and equipment.
It has been recommended that funding be granted to all three.
Area board chairman Alan Hill, said: “We want to build on the enthusiasm and support that the area board has already received.
“This meeting will start the work required in order to address the issues faced by local people and take decisions that will deliver real improvements for the community.”
