Daring Faye Hanner has posed for a saucy calendar to raise money for a forces’ charity after her fiance served in Afghanistan.
Ms Hanner, 22, of Flowers Yard, Chippenham, stripped for the shoot inspired by the film Calendar Girls.
Instead of the cakes and flowers that hid the women’s modesty in the film, the models, wives and girlfriends of troops, used military props to cover up.
Ms Hanner, whose fiance Devin Blandin De Chalain, is the Royal Logistics Corps said: “Knowing what they go through out there and to fight and risk their own lives for our country every day made me want to give a little something back.
“The opportunity to take part in this calendar was a great way to show my support. Getting my kit off and going through a little bit of embarrassment is nothing compared to what they have to go through – they are all true heroes.
“Devin is 100 per cent behind me on taking part in the calendar and thought it was a great idea.
“The shots took place in bases and training facilities in Hampshire as well as many historic military forts or museums. The shots are glamorous so involved getting our kit off, although the calendar is only suggestive nudity so it will not be revealing or showing any parts that shouldn’t be seen.
“Everyone has been so supportive and I just hope we can raise some serious cash.”
All the money raised will be going to the Help For Heroes charity, which helps injured soldiers on their return from war.
The girls have been saluted by the Chief of the General Staff, Sir Richard Dannatt, who wrote to them and said: “I hope your efforts and the calendar are a great success in raising money for Help for Heroes. On behalf of those serving, thank you for your brilliant support to our troops.”
Calenders can be pre-ordered now by logging onto www.swagcalendar.co.uk The calendar goes on sale to the public from September 14. It costs £7.49 plus £2.50 P&P.
