A signed England football shirt is being raffled off at a charity fete in Coate.
The fete has been organised by Patsy Lowe, the new landlady of the New Inn in Coate.
She said: “It is the first time there has been a fete in the village. Villagers are enthusiastic about it and quite a few are on the committee.”
The fete is this Saturday at the field by the New Inn from 2pm. There will be activities for children, a beer tent, a car boot sale and best poultry competition.
The England shirt has been signed by players including Wayne Rooney, and David Beckham.
The fete is raising money for Dorothy House Hospice and for the hydrotherapy pool appeal at St Nicholas School, Chippenham.
