A pair of steel-rimmed glasses and a blue beret worn by comedian Benny Hill have failed to sell at auction.
The glasses, with a plastic cracked effect on the lenses, were used by the Southampton-born star to portray the character Fred Scuttle in the Benny Hill Show.
The items were expected to reach £1,000 each under the hammer on Saturday but no significant bids were received.
Auctioneers Henry Aldridge and Son in Devizes, Wilts., will now return the items to the owner.
Other items on sale included a love letter to Bond girl Britt Ekland written by her new husband Peter Sellers in 1964, which sold for £2,900.
