Walkers are being sought by Sherston Parish Council to test out a new book of country walks before it is published later this year.
The council’s footpath group has compiled the book, which consists of 10 walks and a village trail route, and will seek grants to cover production costs.
It is now appealing for people to walk the paths and test that the descriptions, directions and maps are up to scratch.
Walkers are also encouraged to report any physical problems such as broken or overgrown stiles and missing signs.
A list of repairs will then be drawn up and sent to Wiltshire Council.
Anyone interested in testing a walk can contact Maggie McKenna, the group’s secretary, on (01666) 841947.
