Popular Enid Pollard, of Calne, has died at the grand age of 107.
Mrs Pollard, who lived at The Firs care home, died at the Great Western Hospital just two months before her 108th birthday.
The grandmother-of-two enjoyed walking around the home visiting others in their rooms, and will be sadly missed by staff and friends.
Mrs Pollard, who is originally from Ashby de la Zouch in Leicestershire, moved to Cherhill with her husband in the 1950s to be nearer Mr Pollard's sister.
After her husband died in 1956 Mrs Pollard lived alone until her late 80s.
The popular woman, who ran a children's home with her husband, counted one of her best life experiences as going up in a plane when she was 19.
