Aldbourne villagers are being urged to lend a hand to make their upcoming carnival the best it can possibly be.
The carnival committee is looking for people to give a hand erecting marquees, moving chairs and even serving behind the bar.
Phoebe Tregale of the organising committee said: “There are other tasks very much behind the scenes leaving you free to enjoy carnival day, such as updating signs, hanging bunting and so on.
“There is such a lot to do but if enough people come along to help, it can be great fun.”
The carnival festivities get under way on Thursday August 27 with a darts competition at the sports and social club. The carnival queen is crowned at the Old Manor on Saturday August 29 at 7.30pm and a treasure hunt sets off from the Square at 2pm on Sunday August 30.
Donald Barnes is setting a funfair style challenge for his challenge cup this year, with families having to compete on things like hoopla and aunt sally.
