Devize mayor John Leighton is encouraging people to get on their bikes to help raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
The charity’s annual Wiltshire bike ride takes place on Sunday September 20 starting from the Lye Field in Seend and offers a choice of a 28 or 47 miles circular route and is suitable for both families and cycling enthusiasts.
Organisers hope 500 people will take part and help raise £20,000 to fight heart disease.
Andy Coles, British Heart Foundation event organiser, said: “We would like to thank the mayor of Devizes and those participants who have already signed up for supporting us.”
To enter the bike ride visit www.bhf.org.uk/wiltshire or call 0900 169 3672. Registration is £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s, who must be accompanied by an adult. Entry on the day costs more.
