TOWNSPEOPLE will have the chance of a bird’s eye view of Marlborough at the carnival family funday on Sunday September 20.
The organisers confirmed this week they have reached agreement with Rise Helicopters to provide aerial trips around the town from 10am on the day.
Organiser Angie Dickens said: “It will give people possibly the last chance ever to photograph the St John’s lower school site before it is demolished to make way for homes. We can’t confirm the cost of the flights at the moment, but we hope to do so in the near future.”
There will be dozens of activities for young and old on the day. Mrs Dickens said they were still looking for local charities to take up the offer of free stalls at the event.
She said: “It is absolutely free and whatever they make on the day they can put towards their own funds.”
Any charity interested should ring Mrs Dickens on (01672) 515171.
