The trial of Daniel de Costa, from Melksham, who is accused of murdering Devizes man Matthew Baggott starts in ernest at Winchester Crown Court today.
On Friday a jury was sworn in but the first witnesses are expected to take to the stand today.
Mr Baggott, 34, died from stab wounds after collapsing in st John's Alley, Devizes, on September 6, 2007.
