The letter from Mrs/Miss/Ms Coleman in the Gazette on June 11 might almost be deemed defamatory; it certainly displays two of the deadly sins – envy and malice.
Michael Ancram, our local MP, has three houses – so what?
One presumably is his home in Scotland. The second is his house which he necessarily has in the constituency for which he is perfectly entitled to claim expenses.
The third, I’m sure he would prefer not to have as he inherited it on the comparatively recent deaths of both his parents.
I notice there is no mention of the thousands of pounds worth of expenses for which our MP makes no claim although perfectly entitled to do so.
Mary Terry, Jarvis Street, Upavon.
