A large congregation at St Bartholomew’s Church, Wootton Bassett shared in celebrating the life of Robert Woodhouse, 37, who was a local Beaver Scout leader and junior football coach.
Giles Woodhouse, his elder brother, described Robert as a very special person, a loyal ally and friend. Tribute was paid to his enthusiasm, talent for friendship, happy marriage and family life.
“Rob was an inspirational individual, who put a lot back into the community as a Beaver Scout leader and as a qualified football coach. His short life was busy, fruitful and joyous, and he leaves a rich legacy of love. He was loyal, loving and modest, with a wonderful sense of fun and commitment to his family, his work and his service to the youth of Wootton Bassett.”
Memorial cheques for Wootton Bassett Town Football Club or the 1st Wootton Bassett Scout Group may be sent to Maslin Funeral Service, 118a High Street, Wootton Bassett SN4 7AU.
