Pupils at Luckington Primary School had a taste of the Middle Ages on Friday when they took part in a medieval banquet.
The theme tied in with this term’s school topic, Castles and Dragons.
Luckington headteacher, Julia Hind, said the pupils themselves provided the lunchtime entertainment.
She said: “The culmination of the week was the medieval banquet with food kindly supplied by The Old Royal Ship, who also provide our delicious school lunches.
“The children put on the medieval style entertainment with circus skills, jesters, dancers and jugglers. We even took a medieval school photograph with everyone dressed up in their brilliant costumes.”
She added that the school activities, including a visit to Farleigh Hungerford castle, had been a hit with both staff and pupils.
She said: “Class lessons linked to this theme have really inspired us all.
“The children have enjoyed a circus workshop, where they tried juggling, tight-rope walking and many other new skills.
