Ambulances at the scene of the accident this evening
The Wiltshire Air Ambulance has attended a road crash between Devizes and Rushall this afternoon in which a motorcyclist was injured.
The biker was left lying in the road, the A342, near the turning to Hilcott.
A motorist said: "The Police have closed the road in both directions and the air ambulance has landed at the side of the road and has switched off its rotors."
Police said it was too early to give any information about the accident or the condition of the rider.
The road is likely to be closed for some time.
