Hundreds of people watched racehorse legends bask in the sun at Greatwood near Marlborough yesterday.
The centre is a charity that works with retired racehorses and children with special educational needs, on Sunday.
Some of Greatwood’s equine residents took part in a horse tournament, which showcased some amazing skills and demonstratedhow intelligent and versatile thoroughbreds can be.
Greatwood favourites such as Deano’s Beeno, Montendre and Potentate paraded in the William Hill sponsored event.
Bob Hogg gave an entertaining display with his working sheepdogs and there were ducks and geese and other horseback demonstrations.
This year is the tenth anniversary of Greatwood becoming a registered charity but founders Michael and Helen Yeadon began their rescue work, financing it independently, in 1990.
