Former Marlborough student Jojo Tulloh has written a cookery book based on using ingredients from her allotment a ten minute bike ride from her London home.
Ms Tulloh, 38, is one of the twin daughters of former European 5,000 metres gold medallist Bruce Tulloh and his wife Sue who live at West Stowell.
Ms Tulloh, who is married with three children living in London, is food editor of the Week magazine. About eight years ago she started running an allotment and her book, Freshly Picked, is based on her experiences of cooking the produce she grows.
She said: “I couldn’t find a book that combined lots of different recipes for the same vegetable or fruit – something that you often have to deal with on an allotment is finding lost of uses for the same vegetable.
“It came out of wanting to combine all things I love, reading about food, gardens, being outside, writing and cooking.”
Her books costs £20 and will be available from the White Horse Bookshop in Marlborough.
