In case Gazette readers have been lead to believe otherwise by the report in last week’s edition the Devizes Town Council has only agreed to support in principle the introduction of a Devizes currency to stimulate local retail trade.
This leaves the issue on the table for further discussion. Also up for consideration are other schemes, one of which was raised by myself, to encourage people to shop locally and support our independent retailers.
