Organisers are keeping their fingers crossed for good weather on Saturday for the St Bartholomew Summer Fete in Corsham.

The summer fete which will be held at The Grove off Station Road on Saturday from 12pm to 4pm with a novelty dog show that will be judged at 1pm.

The event is set to be a day out for all of the family with a tombola, barbeque, lunches, a children’s corner as well as music and refreshments.

Anne Hooper, who is organising and judging the novelty dog show said: “There is a lot of stuff going on this year so hopefully it will be a great success but it is all depending on the weather.

“The money raised from the fete will go to St Bartholomew’s Church while money made from the dog show entries will be split between the church and Old Farm Animal Shelter in Grittingam.”

Admission to the fete is 50 pence for adults and children under 16-years-old go free.
