It was third time lucky for teenager Laura Sexton when she took part in a sky dive.
Laura, 17, of The Rectory in Lacock, jumped 15,000 ft on May 29 to raise £400 for the Children’s Hospice South West.
it was the third time she had attempted the jump, the first one being cancelled because of technical difficulties and the second because of bad weather.
Laura also lost sponsorship money stolen in a burglar at her parents’ home while she was at Millfield boarding school in Somerset.
However Laura loved every minute of the dive and said: “It was the most beautiful day for falling out of a plane with not a cloud in the sky and no wind.
“The whole experience was incredible, from the rush of falling (gently pushed) out of the door to the relief when I landed safely on the ground.
“It was terrifying and exhilarating at the same time.
“Feeling the weightlessness of plunging at 180 miles an hour in freefall for a minute was amazing. By the time I had finished I wanted to do it all over again.”
