Oaksey Golf Club will host rugby union legend Jason Leonard OBE when he helps launch the Wooden Spoon charity group for Wiltshire.
The 38-year-old former England prop forward will attend the launch of the Wiltshire group at Oaksey Golf Club, between Cirencester and Swindon, on Monday.
The Wooden Spoon organisation raises funds to aid mentally, physically and disadvantaged children by providing playgrounds, sensory rooms, hydrotherapy rooms and other facilities as well as anti bullying projects.
Marlborough Rugby Club will also be present at the golf club to make a cheque presentation to launch the fund raising efforts.
Mr John said he was grateful to the group’s supporters.
He said: “This is a wonderful organisation and I am very proud to be Wiltshire's first chairman.”
