The Bishop of Ramsbury, the Rt Rev Stephen Conway, will be dossing down in Devizes Market Place next week as part of an initiative to reach out to all sectors of society.
Bishop Stephen will undertake his all-night vigil on Wednesday when he and other members of the Devizes Partnership of Churches take part in a sleep-out on the steps of the Market Cross to highlight the plight of homeless people in the town.
It will be a busy week for the bishop as he spearheads the Believing in Devizes campaign.
On Monday he takes part in a debate on Christian faith in public life at St Andrew’s Church.
Then on June 20 he will be meeting walkers and boaters at the Caen Hill locks, picking up litter on the way.
