Swindon Wildcats have confirmed that Ryan Aldridge has signed on for the rest of the 2008/09 season.
The player, who started his career in the Swindon academy, re-joins after a spell as coach at Basingstoke Bison.
After performing well against the Bracknell Bees and the Sheffield Scimitars this past weekend, Aldridge has convinced general manager Steve Nell to make the move a permanent one.
"Last weekend it was great to see Ryan take to the ice again in Wildcats colours and he played in a relaxed state and with a smile on his face which reflected in his performances over the two games," said Nell.
"Myself, Head Coach Pete Russell and Ryan sat down and discussed our plans for the rest of the season, Ryan was very excited by this and he agreed to sign and play for us in the English Premier League for the rest of the 2008/2009 season.
"I was delighted that we are all in agreement and that we can welcome 'one of our own' back to the club, who is extremely eager to make an impact and help push the Swindon Wildcats forward."
