Wiltshire residents gathered to show solidarity with the people of Palestine.

As part of an international day of action held on Friday, several people took part in a rally on Marlborough’s High Street, holding the Palestinian flag and placards with messages such as ‘Stop the Killing’.

The show of support will become a regular display in the town centre.

Jo Ripley said: “We are a small town but we can also join together to show our support.

“The agreement of those that came along this first time is that we will aim to be here on a monthly basis.”

The next one will be near the Town Hall from 11am to 11.45am on Saturday, January 4, and residents from across Wiltshire are welcome.
