Drivers have been issued a warning not to park on a busy High Street ahead of a major Christmas event.
Parking in the centre of Marlborough High Street will be suspended from 8am on Friday, November 29 ahead of the town’s Christmas lights switch-on.
This is to accommodate a “fantastic” festive market that will see 50 stalls fill the road throughout the day.
Drivers have been urged to remove their cars ahead of time so that the event can go ahead as planned without any disruption.
Meanwhile, the High Street will close to all traffic between 4pm and 9pm to allow the Christmas light switch-on to take place.

A spokesperson for the town council said: “We have a fantastic festive market in the High Street with 50 stalls of various sizes and descriptions stretching pretty much the length of our lovely long High Street.
“We have reserved all the parking in the centre of the High Street from the town hall to St Peter’s to accommodate our market.
“There will be no parking in the centre of the High Street from 8am that day.”
Residents have been encouraged to spread the word about these restrictions and ensure access is not blocked for stallholders.
The spokesperson added: “Please, please, help us by removing your car from the central parking bays in good time, so that we can get the market set up and trading.
“It’s hard enough to plot stalls and fit everyone in with a market of this size without the added hassle of cars blocking access.
“Your help to spread the word would be very much appreciated and will make our lives so much easier on the day.”
Entertainment will start on the town hall steps at 4.45pm and will continue throughout the evening.
The countdown ahead of the Christmas lights being switched on will take place at 6.30pm.
As well as the all day festive market, activities running throughout the day include Santa's grotto, street entertainment, and “the real story of Christmas”.
There will also be events at St Peter’s Church, including the venue’s outdoor Christmas lights display being switched on in coordination with the High Street lights.
The church will also be hosting live music and selling mulled wine and mince pies.
